The Farah Dermatology Center is a family run dermatology practice. Dr. Fuad S. Farah, the senior dermatologist, has a long and distinguished career in the specialty and has served as Chief of Dermatology at the Upstate Medical University for 28 years, until his son, Dr. Ramsay Farah succeeded him in this position. He has published numerous articles and contributed chapters to many textbooks. In addition to having taught generations of physicians he has received numerous awards and accolades He is considered an authority in the field.
His son, Dr. Ramsay S. Farah, has trained at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, as did his father, and further qualified in the very competitive field of Dermatopathology. He holds appointments as Chief of Section of Dermatology at Upstate Medical University and additionally as Associate Professor of Medicine and Pathology, where he regularly lectures the medical students and house staff.
His daughter, Dr. Joyce Farah trained for 2 years at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute as a research fellow in Photodynamic Therapy for the treatment of skin cancer. Thereafter, she completed her residency training in Dermatology at The State University of New York at Buffalo. She was chief resident in Dermatology and has also contributed articles and chapters to the medical literature.
